are appointed by the Executive Con)mittee, or the company in a GeneTrl Meeting can be admitted as Tr￿8tees.
RISKS
The Executive Committee has conducted its owll review of the niajor risks to which the company is exposed, and
systems have been establisb¢d to mitigate those risks. In order to Milli￿ internal risks. and to ensure the consistent
quality of delivery for all operational aspects of the company procedures for authorization of all transactions, and
projects have been implemented.

The trustees (who are also directors of East Coast Miuistnes (Ireland) Ltd for the purpose of company law) are
responsible for pryaring tbe Tniste&8' Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law
and United Kingdom Gen¢ralty Accepted Accounting Practice.
Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial yw which. give a tru¢ and fair view
ofthe State of affairs of the charitable company and of the incoming resour￿ alld application of resources. including the
income and expendiiiire, of tbe ch8Titable company for that period. In preparing these financi￿ statements, the trustees
are required to:

As the charity trustees (alld also the directors of the cojnpany for the purposes of compally law) you are respon8ibEe for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements ofthe Companies Act 2006. Having satisfied myself
that tbe charity is not subject to audit uttder company law, and is eli￿1¢ for independent examinatio￿ it is my
responsibilty to:
l) examine the accounts under section 65 ofthe Clwittes Act
2) follow the procedures laid down inthe general DireclioDS given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities A¢t
3) state whether particular ￿￿tterS bave come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's statsmellt
I have examitEed your charity accounts as rwired under section 65 of the ￿eS Act and my examination was oarried
out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Conjmission ftir Nortbern Ireland undeT section
65(9)(b) of the Charities ACL The eXamI￿tion included a review of the accounting Tecords kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or
disclosures in the accounts and seekng explanations fmmyou as ¢haritytrustees concfflling any such matters.
My role is to stats whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:
a) that accounting records were not kept in accordance with sectton 386 of the CompaDies Act 2006
b) that the accounts do not accord with those accowiting records

The principal accounting policies are suma￿Sed below. The accounting policies have been applled consistentty
througbout the year and the preceding year.
1.1. Basis of a¢counting
The financial statements h&ve been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities:
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparillg tbeir accounts in accordance with the
Financial reporting Standard Applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland(FRS 102) (effertive l January 2015) -
(Charities SORP (FRS 102). the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
102) and the Companies Act 2006.
East Coast Ministries (Ireland) Ltd meets the definitlon of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and
liabilities are initially recogtiised at historical cost or Iransaction vakne UDless otherwRse stated iii the relevant
accounting policy.
Casbflow
The charity has taken advantsge of the exemption in FÉnancial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ixeland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2015) - (Charities SORP (FRS 102)). from the requirement to
produce a cash flow statement on the grounds that it is a small ¢l)aritsble charity.
1.3. Fund aecounting
General funds are unrestricted fimds which ore available for use at the discretion of the trustees in fi￿erance of
the general objectives ofthe charity and which have not been designated for other pury)oses.
Incoming resoure
All incoming resources are inch￿ed in the statement of financial activities when the chwity is entitled to the
income and the amount ¢8n be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The folloJYiDg specific policies are applied to
