Sinc• October 2013, the 80(Kn F￿ndatIOn ha8 worked alongside Sarcoma UK, allowlng it to en•
hance its undorstanding surrourKling the d￿gnoSeS and treatrnent of sarcoma as w811 as enguring
that research is continually 8UPPOrted through rts own endeavourn. 50% of the money raised by the
Charity ig used in Northem Ireland, offerirrfJ wath.cal Supp￿ and agsistance to patsnts ￿lIst the
remaining 50% 18 sont 10 Sarcoma UK to fund vrtal research Into Sarcoma and rt8 treatrnonL

palbents recéive the 8UPPOrt that they require. The Chanty relie8 i>n the conbnuing support and

with ts 8ellast Health and Social Care Trust and Ihe South Eastem Health and so￿al Care Trust
en a patient is diagnosed in Northern Ireland with sarcoma (and provides thelr necessary coTh
eent), a referr￿ is made by their Gcnsultant oncologist (or Sarcoma Ch'Thcal NurBe Speciali8t> and

sent to Boom. Boom have a dedic8ted team of volunteern who liaise wlth the p8b.ent thrr)ughout
thoir treatment. ensuring that th8y and thwr family receive th8 ￿nIette￿d support they require wrth-
out delay. Referrals for financial Support are not means tested in any way and examples of Su

In September 2022, the Bc￿M Foundatlon held a large scale pab8nt information day, attended by
Sarcoma patsents, their familiethiends and other Charrt￿&. A range of speakers presented on the
day including urcoma consuiiants. professionals frDm Sarcoma UK. dinical nurse 8peaalist8 and
patsent8.
The Boom Foundation prepar8s for its gal8 dinner in April 2023 which has been postponed (kn to
the Covid-19 Pandemic. 11 i& envigaged that Ihe proce6d8 from the Gala dinner will Increase the
income of the charity for next financial year.

There has been a decr8aso In our overall Income to £30,534 (last year £48,￿8). Fund8 have been
raised Ihrough communlty fundraising, donatlons from groups and irKliNryduals. Tr decraase was
anribuied to a coniinued lack of publlc lundr￿sIng due to the conb'nued Cov1&19 ParKlemiG.
