**Purposes:** Providing a suitable Memorial to be known as the "Limavady and District War Memorial" for the purpose of perpetuating the memory of those persons from the Urban and Rural Districts of Limavady who gave their lives for their country in the Great War and commemorating the action of those who volunteered for active service therein and applying the fund for the benefit of inhabitants of the Town and District of Limavady by providing for their recreation instruction and mental and physical improvement and development as might be thought best.
