Strueturei governance and management
The Dungiven Roman Catholic Parish Missionary Outreach Charttable Trust was established on 19
May 2014 and has four trustees, who are the present parish priests of the Roman Catholic Parishes of
Dungiven, Limavady and the Waterside of Derry and one member af the Finance Council of the
Dungiven Roman Catholic Parish. The trust deed was fomBlly adopted at the first general meeting
held on 19 May 2014.
Objectives and activities
The charitsble purposes of the Trust are to support e(lucation projects and initiatives to promote health
or life expectancy as well as to alleviate distress ￿USed by famine, conflict or natural disasters in
Northern Ireland and the Continents of Africa, Asia and South America. The benefit provided by the
Trust is solely monetary donations to registered Catholic charities working within the Continents of
Africa, Asia and South America and registered charities operating and situated within Northern Ireland,
whose purposes include one or more of the purposes of the Trust.
Achievements and perforniance
During the year ended 31 December 2023 the charity eamed £80,206 income from investments. The
charity paid out £52.540 in donations to other chanties. The charity aim5 to pay £50,000 out every
year in donations.

Financial review
During the year the charty made a net surplus of £20,071, this is shown on page 4 to the accounts.
Review of charty's financial position at the year end
As at the 31 December 2023 the charity had total charity funds of £3.288,414.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
There must be at least five trustees with three of these being the present priest of Dun9iven, Limavady
and the Waterside of Derry Roman Catholic Parishes and the other Iwo trustees being from the
finance council of the Dungtven Roman Catholic Parish. In selecting individuals for appointment as
trustees from the Finance Council of the Dungiven Roman Catholic Parish, the trustees must have
regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effecttve administration of the charity.

The club charity is registered charity in Northem Ireland and is unincorporated. The address of
the principal office is 19 Chapel Road. Dungiven. BT47 4RT, Co Derry.
Statement of compliance
These financial statements accounts have been prepared in compliance with FRS 102, 'The
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland,, the Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordan￿ with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102} (Charities
SORP (FRS 102)) and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
Accounting policies
Basis of prepardtion
The financial ststements accounts have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified
by the revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured
at fair value through income or expenditure.
The financial statements accounts are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the
entity.
Going concern
There are no material uncertainties about the charity's abilty to continue.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted fijnds are available for use at the discreb'on of the trustees to further any of the
charity's purposes.
Designated funds are unrestricted funds eannarked by the trustees for particular future project or
commitment.
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure declared by the donor or
through the terms of an appeal, and fall into one of Iwo sukKlasses: restricted income funds or
endowment funds.

Incoming resources
All incoming resources are included in the ststement of financial activities when entitlement has
passed to the charity., it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction
will flow to the Charity and the amount can be reliably measured. The following specific policies
are applied to particular categories of income:
income from donations or grants is recognised when there is evidence of entitlernent to the
gift. receipt is probable and its amount can be measured reliably.
legacy income is recognised when receipt is probable and entitlement is established.
income from donated goods is nEasured at the fair value of the goods unless this is
impractical to measure reliably, in which case the value is derived from the cost to the donor
or the estimated resale value. Donated facilities and services are recognised in the
accounts when received rf the value can be reliably measured. No amounts are included for
the contribution of general volunteers.
income from contracts for the supply of services is recognised with the delivery of the
contracted service. This is classified as unrestricted fijnds unless there is a contractual
requirement for it to be spent on a particular purpose and returned if unspent, in which case
it may be regarded as restricted.
Resources expended
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditu￿ includes any
VAT which cannot be fully recovefed, and is classified under headings of the ststement of
financial activities to which it relates=

non-charitable trading activities, and the sale of donated goods.
