My examination included a review of the accounting re¢ords kept by the charlty and a comparislon of ihe

Northem Ireland. The registered office is 218 York Street, Belfast, Co Antrim. BT15 1GY.
1.1 Accountlng conventlon
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance wllh FRS 102 °The Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. I'FRS 102.1 and the requirements of the Companies
Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies ￿gIMe. The disclosure requirements of
section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required lo sh¢)w 8 true
and fai¥ view.
Thè financial statemants are pièpared in stèiling. whlch is thè functional currency of the company. Monatary
an￿UnIS in these financial ststernents are rounded to the nearest £.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. Imodified lo include the
revaluation of freehold properties and to inclLJde investtnent properties and certain financial instruments at fair
V81ug1. The principal accounting tK)li¢ie$ adopted are set out below.
12 Turnover
Turnover is recognised at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for goods and services
provided in the normal course of business, and is shown net of VAT and othtrr $81gs r$l¥led taxes. The fair
value of consideration lakes into arLo(Jnl trade discounts. $ettl8m8nt discounts and volume rebates.
1.3 Tangible fixed as$ets
Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation. net of
depreciation and any impaim8nt lossès.
Depreclation is rècognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their
useful lives on the following bases..

The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference betw8gn the sale proceeds

1.4 Impairment of fixed assets
At each reporting period end date. the company reviews the carrying amounts of its tangible assets to
determine whether there is any indication that those assets have svffered an impairment loss. If any such
indication exists, the recoverable amount of the asset is eslirllaled in order lo delerTnine the exlenl of the
impairment loss {if any). Where il is not possible lo estimate the recoverable amount of an individu81 asset.
the company estimates the recoverable amount of the cash-generating unil to which the asset belongs.
1.5 Cash and cash equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and indude cash in hand. deposits held at call with
banks. other short-terrn liquid investments with origin5J.' maturities of three months or le$s, and bank
overdTafts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current liabilities.

1.6 Financial instrnments
The company has elected lo apply the provisions of Section 11 'Basic Financlal Instruments, and Section 12
'Other Financial Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its financial irislruments.
Financial instrurnents are recognis8d in the companls balance sheet when the company becomes p8ty 10
the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Fin8ncTal assets and liabilitiès are offset. with the net amounts presented in the financial staternents. when
there is 8 legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and there is an intention 10 settle on a nel
basis or to realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously.

Basic financial assets. which include debtors and cash and bank balances, are Inll8lly measured at
transaction price including transaciion costs and are subsequently carried al amortised cost using the effadva
