The directors present their report and the financlal statements for the year ended 28 February 2023.
Principal actlvlty
The principal actlvity of the company is to provide an integrated and innovative facility for all sections of the
community, which also enhances the economlc, social and environmental aspects of life for the multiply
deprived community of Creggan,
Future developments
The company has fixed assets worth around 1 million pounds with a significant land bank. At present the
board is In used to clear any current debts and allow a sum for future cashftow. They are also worklng on a
visionlng exerciselmaster plan with local council to refresh and relaunch the park on a large scale. This will
include worklng with local counclls, tourism officers, funders and others to optomise the various products on
offer at the park and enhance long-term 8UStalnability.

of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charitable company for that period. In preparing

We report on the accounts of the company for the year ended 28 February 2023, whlch are set out on pages
5 to14.

As the charity directors you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts In accordance with the
requlrements of the Companies Act 2006. Havlng satisfied ourselv88 that the charity Is not subject to audit
under company law, and is eligible for Independent examination, It Is our responsibility to.,
examine the accounts under sectlon 65 of the Charities Act 2008;
follow the procedures laid down In the general directions glven by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act 2008.

We have examined your charity accounts as raquired under Sectlon 65 of the Charitles Act and our
examination was carrled out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission for
Northern Ireland under Section 6519)(b) of the Charltles Act. The examination included a review of the
accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It
also Included a consideration of any unusual itams or disclosures In the accounts. and seeklng explanatlons
from you as charity directors concernlng any such matters.
Our role Is to state whether any material matters have come to our attention giving us cause to belleve:

General information
The company Is a private company Ilmited by guarantee, registered In Northern Ireland. The address of
the registered office is Creggan Country Park, we5￿aY, Creggan, Derry BT48 9NU.
Accounting Conventlon
The slgnificant accounting pollcles applied in the preparation of these financlal ststements are set out
below. These policies have been conslstently applied to all years presented unless otherwlse stated.
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS102. The financial statements have
been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in notes to the accounts and comply
with the charity's governlng document, the Charitles Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and Accounting and
Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reportlng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland published in October 2019 (SORP 2019) and the Companles Act 2006.
The financial statements are prepared on a golng concern basis under the historical cost convention,
modified to Included certain items at falr value. The financial statements are presented in sterling which
is the functional Currency of the charlty.

Grants represents all amounts received and recelvable during the year.
Capital grants are released to the profit and loss account In the year In whlch they are received in
line with the SORP Accounting & Reporting by Charties 2015,
R8venue grants are credited to the Statement of Flnanclal Activities in the year they are received.

This comprises amounts recelved during the year.
Expenditure

This represents all expenditure dlrectly attrlbutable to charitable causes.

This includes all other expenditure not directly allocated above and a portion of the overhead costs

Tangible assets
Tangible assets are initially recorded at cost, and are subsequently stated at cost less any accumulated
depreciation and impalrment Ioss8S.
Any tangible assets carried at revalued amounts are recorded at the fair value at the date of revaluation
less any subsequent accumulated depreciation and subsequent accumulated impalrment losses.
An increase in the carrying amount of an asset as a result of a revaluation, Is recognised in other
comprehensive Income and accumulated in capltal and reseN88, except to the extent it reverses
revaluation decrease of th8 same asset prevlously recognised In profit or loss. A decrease in the
carrying amount of an asset as a result of r8valuation is recognlsed in other comprehensive incom8 to
the extent of any prevlously recognised revaluation increase accumulated in capltal and ￿serveS in
respect of that asset. Where a revaluation decrease exceeds the accumulated revaluation gains
accumulated in capital and reserves in respect of that asset, the excess shall be recognlsed In profit or
loss,
Depreclation
Depreciation 18 calculat8d so as to write off the cost or valuation of an asset, less its residual value,
over the useful economic life of that asset as follows:

Impalrment
A review for indicators of impalrment is carried out at each reporting date, with the recoverable amount
being estlmated where such indicators exlst. Where the carrylng valu8 exceeds the recoverable
amount, the a8s8t is impaired accordingly. Prior Impalrments are also revlewed for possible reversal at
each reporting date.
When it Is not possible to estimate the recoverable amount of an indlvldual asset, an estimate Is made
of the recoverable amount of the cash-generatlng unit to which the asset belongs. The cash-generating
unit Is the smallest Identlfiable group of assets that includes the asset and generates cash Inflows that
are largely independent of the cash inflows from other assets or groups of assets.
Pension costs
Contributions to auto enrolment pension schemes are recognised as an expense In the period in which
the related service is provided.
