Activities

The Association is established for the advancement of community development and active citizenship for the public benefit of the inhabitants of Dervock and District (hereinafter referred to as “the area of benefit”) by the following means: 2.1 To relieve poverty by improving the education and knowledge of local residents by the provision of classes for the public benefit. 2.2 To relieve poverty by improving the local economy through projects to increase tourism. 2.3 To relieve poverty through the provision of advice and information to local residents for the public benefit. 2.4 To advance social welfare by providing activities for young people in Dervock. 2.5 The advancement of community development by working with the relevant statutory and voluntary bodies to improve the conditions of life for local people. 2.6 To advance education through the delivery of relevant training course/sessions in the local community. 2.7 To promote the health and wellbeing of local residents through the provision of events and activities for the public benefit. 2.8 The advancement of culture and heritage through the provision of information on the history of the area and its people for the public benefit. 2.9 The advancement of environmental issues directly affecting Dervock through working with appropriate agencies for the benefit of local people.
