l. Financial Summary
The accounts are prepared on a cash basis and therefore record income and expenditure at the
time a transaction occurs.
A surplus of £17,982.40 was recorded for the year.
2. Income
Funds were generated in the year from Fitness Freddie sponsorship, the annual Summer Fete,
Halloween Disco, Easter Ballot and Christmas card collection as well as some very generous
donations from parents, teachers and others. Grant income of £9,441.00 was also received in the
year from the National Lottery community fund.
3. ExpendSture
The donations made by the PTA included the cost of leaver's hoodies, and school sports kit,

We report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of St. Patrick's Primary
School Parent Teacher Association I'the charity'l for the year ended 31 AL¢gust 2023.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you a re responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the Charities Act l Northern Ireland12008.
It 15 our re5pon5ibility to:
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act;
follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission
for Northern Ireland under section 6519llbl of the Charities Act,. and
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basls of Independent examiner's report
We have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under Section 6519llbl of the Charitie5 Act.
Our examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of
the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of a ny unusual items or
disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations form you as charity trustees concerning any
such matters.
Our role is to state whether any material matters have come to our attention giving cause to believe:
l. That the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached

I can confirm that l am qualified to undertake the examination because l am a registered member of
Chartered Accountants Ireland, which is one of the listed bodies.
I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters111 to141 listed
above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland, I have found no matters that require drawing to your attention.
