Annual Report for the year ended 315tDecember 2023
The trustees of the Maranatha Christian Church Trust are pleased to submit their report and accounts for the
period OlstJanuary 2023 to 3 IstDecember 2023.
Main Activities
To promote the celebration of the Worship of God and His son Jesus Christ and the preaching of the gospel
of Jesus Christ and the promotion of the spiritual teaching of a religious body
Achievements
The year 2023 was the first full year where there were no restrictions in physical gathering since the
COVID-19 pandemic. The church continued to meet regularly and had a number of seminars during the
year with visitors from the USA and Portugal.
We had a celebration of some water baptisms at one of the events during the summer with maT]y friends and
family of those who were being baptised in attendance.
An online prayer meeting continues and has provides some opportunities for regular fellowship with some
brethren from Europe and North America. This also is provides an opportunity to share in fellowship and to
provide contact especially to those who felt isolated or lived alone.
The church continued to receive teaching from the Bible on a range of practical and prophetic teachings.
These studies took place each Sunday morning. The objective is to spiritually strengthen the brethren to
grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and apply His teachings in our daily lives.
The church continued its efforts in evangelism with regular monthly Saturday or Sunday evangelical
evening services being held. The brethren were encouraged to invite people to hear the message of hope
through the sharing of the good news of the gospel.
There was an invitation from our sister church in Portugal to attend the anniversary celebration in Lisbon in
October 2023. A couple of people were able lo attend and it enabled some fellowship in order to strengthen
the bonds between us.
The Sunday school classes continue to meet, hear God's Word and share some of their experiences. The
age appropriate teachings were provided to help the children grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord.
The bi-weekly young adults (those 15 years and over) meeting continued on Sunday mornings which
provided som¢ discussions on practical issues that the young people face and the biblical teachings and
answ¢rs related to these. The young adults group found this very b¢n¢ficial.
Approved and adopted by a meeting of the Trustees on 13th October 2024 and signed on their behalf.
