Randalstown Central Primary School PTA – Chairperson’s Report 2024–
2025
The PTA of Randalstown Central Primary School continues to be composed of dedicated parents and teachers who volunteer their time to raise funds that directly benefit the pupils. These funds are used to purchase essential equipment, support educational initiatives, and enhance the overall school experience.
Meetings and Governance
The PTA meets regularly on the school premises at 4 Church Road, Randalstown, BT53 7DR. The organisation operates under its Constitution, agreed with PTA UK and the Charity Commission NI. All Committee members are appointed during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The most recent AGM was held on October 15, 2024, with no changes to the Chair or Teacher Representative positions. The roles of Treasurer and Secretary were updated during this meeting.

The PTA Committee consists of both parents and teachers, some of whom also serve as Trustees for the charity. The four key appointed roles are:

Fundraising and Support
The PTA continues to adopt a two-fold approach to supporting the school:

Committee Members oversee planning, governance, and financial management.

Volunteers assist with events by serving refreshments, supervising activities, and donating baked goods or raffle prizes.

Income was generated through a variety of successful events and generous donations, including:

School discos, movie night, Sports Day, and the Class Marathon

Grants from Enkalon Foundation, ANBC (VE Day), and CFNI

A significant donation from Cash for Kids
Expenditure covered:

Educational support (Accelerated Reading)

Looking Ahead
We are proud of what we’ve achieved this year and look forward to continuing our work in the coming academic year. We welcome new members and ideas, and encourage all parents and carers to get involved—whether by joining the Committee or supporting events.
