Dear all,
I would like to welcome all that are attending this AGM, both the members of the PTFA as any parents that have joined to hear about our events.
We would like to extend a very big thank you to all the students, parents, family members, friends and the local community would have supported us over this past year. We are delighted to have raised over £4000.
We were back holding some of our usual events like the pop-corn movie nights, our cash for clobber collections. This year we had a used bookstand in Tesco, were books got the chance to be read by someone else.
We sold Christmas quiz sheets and held our first ever beetle drive, which as a great evening for entertainment for all those involved.
PTFA members are to be thanked for their continuing support and the time that they give to run all of these events, it does not go unnoticed for all the cups of tea that are made and the gors of time planning and set up events.
We are increasing aware that the cost of transport for schools is rising constantly and PTFA are having to subsidise events and trips for pupils. With price rises and budget cuts affecting school, we know that PTFA fundraising events are more important now than ever to assist the school in creating a positive learning environment and supporting school trips.
It has been a delight to take part and host events and to see the joy and fun that pupils are having at these events.
We would encourage parents to join PTFA and help think of new fundraising ideas for the years ahead.
Dana Simpson.
