Trustees
Co1￿Mittee members of the association, known as trustees for the puiyose of charity law, who served during the year and up
to the date of this report are set out on page l of the financial statements.
Charitable objects
Ai'valee School is foi. childrei) and young people aged between three and nin¢teen years old who have severe to Inodei'ate
learning difficulties. Music and sensory experiences give the pupils opportunities to enhance their confidence,
ommunicalion and enjoyment of life. Experiences in this ai'ea cannot always be provided as part of the curriculum and the
school believes that the enhaiiced altei'native curriculum makes a huge difference to the lives of the children. A5 a i-esult
Fi'iends of Arvalee School & Resource Centi'e was established. Tl)e asso¢iatioi) has an active Parent, Teacher and Friends
association whicli is able to fundraise and provide eventslactivities for pupils of Arvale¢ School and theii. fainilies, provide
funds for additional resources for Arvalee school aiid build links with the local community. The association will also support
the educational progress and attainment of pupils in Arvalee school.
Friends of Arvalee School & Resoui'ce Centre is a I'egistered chai'ily Wlth the Charity Coinmission for Northern Ireland since
4 July 2014, under regist17tion numbei. NIC100362.
Organisational structure
The ti'ust¢¢s meet regularly, administer the company and Inake all policy d¢cisions.
Revieiv of activities and achievements
The results reflect the activities caiTied on within the association during the year. Due to the covid-19 pandemic the
association was unable to I'un events dui'ing the year. However, since I Septembei. 2023 th¢ association has I'e-commenced
fundraising and providing eventslactivities.
Going concern
The considered view of the trustees is that, after making enquiries, they have a reasonable expectation that the association
will hav¢ adequat¢ I'¢sources available to finance its obligations for the foreseeable futui'e. The Trustees al'e Iiot awai-e of any
events likely to occur in the twelve Inoiitlis following the date of appi'oval of the financial slatements that may have an
impact oil tlie association's ability to continue as a going conceim. We beli¢ve it is therefoi'e appi'opi'iate for tlie financial
stateinents lo be prepai'ed on the going concern basis.
Reserves
The results for tl)e year are set out oil page 5 of the financial stateft)ènfs. The purpbse of the funds are outlined in the note5
to the fii)ancial slatements.

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Ti'ustees, Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable
law and regulations.

Tliey are also responsible for safeguarding the a5sels of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention
and detection of fraud and otlier irregularities.
Accountants
The Irustees recommend that McFarland Arnold & Co remain in office until further notice.
