As the charity's trustees you are resp)nsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charit￿5
trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under Section 65121 of the Charities Act
(Northern Ireland) 2￿8 Ithe Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. The

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general DirectK)ns given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland. An examination includes a review of the accounting record5 kept
by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disch)sures in the accounts. and seeking explanations from
you as trustees concernin8 any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the
evldence that would be requlred In an audlt and consequenily no oplnlon Is 8lven as io whether the
accounts present a 'true and fair viev/ and the report ts limited to those matters set out in the next
statement.

In connection with my examination, matter has come to my attention:

Aim and Purpose
Arvalee School is for children and young people aged 3- 19 years who have severe to moderate
learning difficulties. The pupils have a range of complex difficulties which can lead to them having
considerable challenges leaming. Music and Sensory experiences give the pupils opportunities to
enhance their confidence, communication and enjoyment of life. Experlentes in this area tannot
always be provided as part of the curriculum and the school believes that the enhanced alternative
curriculum make5 a big difference to the lives of the children. Friends of Arvalee School and
Resource Centre aim to finance the cost of providing such opportunities to the children by raising
funds from the public.
Oblertlvts and Actl¥ltles
The objective of the Friends of Arvalee School and Resource Centre Project is to ensure that pupils of
the school have a breath of experience that will support their development. Our aim is to enhance
provisions within the school.
We currentty run the folk)win8 projects to raise fvnds to finance such Pfojects'.-
Arvalee Inspiration Project- This Annual Event dld not run in 2020 due to COVID 19
restflrtions and is unlikely to run in 2021
Smaller Fund Raisin8 Projects- Carol Sernite. Draw
Achlevements and Perfom)an
In this year the Arnalee Inspiration Project raised a net amount of £1.442. Thi5 wa5 the income from
donatlons io the lund ralslnB project less assoclaied costs of the project.
Intome from other sources includin& Christmas Draw. Finiona Choir Carol service ènd Other
Donations raised a net amount of £1,923.
Flnanclal R•¥lew
Total receipts of unrestricted funds were £1.923 and net receipt of restricled funds was £1.442.
There was É1,448 spent from r￿n-reSIrI¢led funds. leavin8 a reserve carried foNard of £8.618.
The￿ was £15,153 spent from the restrilled funds. leavin8 a reserve of restricted fund5 tarried
forward of £9,603.

Resebves PolKy
The charity does not currentty have a reserves policy. The batance of unrestrirted funds at the 31
August 2020 was £8,618.
The balance of £9.603 from our restrirted funds is being retained towards the cost of providing
external advanced mu5it and sensory thernpies.
Volunteers
We would like to thank all volunteers who worked so hard for our purpose.
Slruclure, zovernante and mafiaqernent
General meetings are held as required and all committee members are invited to attend.
The Annual General Meeting which is nofmalty held in Ottober of each year was cancelled in 2020
due to the COVID 19 restriction5. At the time of reporting it is uncertain as to whether this meeting
will take place in O¢iober 2021.
Decisions are made by the trustee subkrt to being approved by the principle of the School.
