## **Cairde Bhunscoil An Traonaigh Trustee Report for year 2022 to 2023**

Cairde Bhunscoil an Traonaigh is a PTA charity based in Lisnaskea. The PTA continues to work in partnership with teachers, parents, and pupils, with the group primarily made up of parent volunteers who plan and organise various activities and events that benefit the pupils. This year, the PTA worked hard to improve its finances and reached out to other organisations for support. The PTA held frequent meetings and successfully planned the annual Campa Samhraidh, which takes place every August to encourage children to use the Irish language over the summer.

PTA secured increased funding from Foras na Gaelige of £875 and also delighted to get support from Fermanagh Omagh District Council £1000. The PTA fundraised a further £972.36 through the street collection which took place in December.

The highlight of the year for the PTA is planning and organising a summer camp for all pupils to attend. They had the opportunity to take part in various activities such as arts & crafts, football, dancing, team games to name a few. Pupils reported to have enjoyed having a week of fun meeting up with school friends and taking part in fun activities. Including a day trip to the nearby Share Centre and availing of water sports, orienteering, laser tag, wall climb, t-shirt design. Total cost for the camp including paying staff volunteers £5409.31.
