The assoclatlon. although small In numbers Is run by enthuslastlc and commltted parent and teacher voluntsors. The Board of Governors arn fully supportlve and wlsh to acknowledge the efftirts of the PTA PTA events and fundralslng actlvltle6 are reported at Governor and Staff meetlngs. OBJECTIVES & ACTMTIES The objectlve of Holywood Prfmary School vfA Is to ral8e money through fundralslng events and donations. The money ralsed is then dlrectty donated to Holywood Prlmary School for Educatlonal and enrlchment purposes for all pupl of the school. In striving to achleve this objective. Develop further relatlonshlps In the Sch(1 community Engage In actmtles supportlng the school advanclng pupll oducatlon Provlde addltional resources that pr•viously could have been allocatsd from the Educatlon Authorlty delegatod budgeL ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE A key tsrget by the school and wfA durfng 2022 4023 was to relnstate some events followlng the reductlon of Covid restrlctlons both In the communlty and as dlrected by Department of Educatlon. This also Ilnked with the school transltlonal plan taryet for the communlty marketed as 'LoVs Connecf. The small. but supportive group of parents w0•d hard to devl8e events tIMt were chlld centred and enjoyable athlties whllst al80 generatlng PTA funds. Effectlve communlcatlon was clear as events and fundralsers were relayed electronlcally vla parent newsletters. the PTA Facebook page and parent wnalls and textlng servlce. Several soclal events wero run for puplkn durfng 20224023 and warn supported by both parenty carnrs and staff. In Terni 1 tho school supported the PTA by oryanlslng for tho chlldren to deslgn thelr own Chrlstmas Cards which were thon prlnted by a local company. A Chrislmas Raffle took place. Holywood Primary School families generousty donated many Items that were mado up elghteen Luxury Hampers by soma of our talent parents and school staff. A Chrlslmas Flroslde Qulz was also arranged. A great Jlnglo Boll Rock durfng school wlth each P144 pupll recolvlng a Chrfstma8 goodle bag & odlble refreshments for P5*P7 pupils. Mrs CLaus also vlsltod ft>r Story Tlme. a lovely morning for all P1413 chlldren. Parents also arranged for refreshments at the P143 Chrlstmas Momlngs. Thls was a welcome return to a Yace to face. Durfng Temi 2 a Maglc Show wlth Aldo tho maglclan was arranged for P1-P5 puplls durlng school. In February the return ofthe School Dlsco ft>r P6 & P7 brought huge exclt•menL Danclng. games and the popular tuck shop contrfbuted to a wonderful evanlng wlth DJ Alan. There was also a great sans• of camaraderle amongst the paronts who helped supervlso at the evenlng. Easter raffles were also oryanlsed. Boautlful hampern wern put together and the lucky wlnners wern dellghted wlth thelr wlnnlng glfL In Term 3 a wholo school Colour Run fundralslng event was arranged whlch the PTA supported. Costs ware kept to a mlnlmum as Mrs Crookshanks. the Prlnclpal, won a competitlon earlier In the year whlch reduced expendlture. It was a great day of happlness, fun and fundralslng for puplls and staff. The PTA P7 Leavers, Hoodles and P7 Yearbook were a highlight for the puplls In Tenn 3. A speclal thanks to a group of P7 parnnts, who collaborated wlth the school to organise wlth a local prfntlng company for the Leavers, Hoodles to be designed and dellvered. The PTA subsldlsed the cost these to ensure all puplls who wanted one could get one. Other parents Ilalsed wlth the school to complle and produce an excellent P7 Year Book durfng Terni 3 that were presented to the P7 puplls on thelr final day at HPS. The Leadershlp and PTA tsam were encouraged as to the actlvltles that were completed and supported durlng 2022-2023. The alm Is to relnstate the well renowned HPS Summer Falr, BBQ and Ballot durfng 2023402 In addltlon to tho fundralslng events menlloned. the PTA avalled of the Glft Ald payment. FINANCIAL REVIEW The PTA are fully aware of budget constralnts placed on the school and endeavour to use PTAfunds to directly benefltas many puplls as posslble, the HPS communlty and help provlde additlonal currlculum resources to each Key Stage as necessary. Tho Princlpal and Senlor Leadershlp Team confimi what resources and school evants rnqulred fundlng. Durfng 2022.2023 there was Ilmlted expendituro. A fact- flndlng process was completed for the noxt phase of Investment for ICT equlpment uslng PTA Funds to upgrade followlng the successful purchasè of Interactlve whltsboards. The necesslty to upgrade the current sets of ipads was eamiarked as a prforlty. Seven wero purchased. ono for each Year Group. Further purchases will bo done In phases durlng 2023-2024 and beyond. PTA funding has also baen used to purchase some Iltsracy and numaracy resources• play & actlvlty based learnlng equlpment. Expendlturo was also used to purchase P7 hoodles, Year Books and a P7 end of terni treat. Thls Is done each year as a mark of thanks for many of the P7 farnllles who had boan Involved In PTA fundral8lng throughout thelr assoclatlon wlth the School.
