STRUCTURE GOVERNANCE MANAGEMENT
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an assoclatlon wlth registered charity
ststU8.
All parents of pupll8 currenty attendlng Hotywood Prfmary School are
automatlcally members of the FfA and are encouraged to be involved in all
actlvttles. The assoclatlon. although small In numbers is run by enthusiastic and
committed parent and teacher volunteers. Tho Board of Governors arn fully
supportlve and wish to acknowledge the efforts of the PTA PTA events and
fundralslng actlvltles are reported at.Govemor and Staff meetlnp.
OBJECTIVES & ACTMTIES
The objectlve of Holywood Prlmary School PTA Is to ralse money through
fundraising events and donations. The money ralsed Is then directly donated to
Hotywood Primary School for EdUcatiOT￿l and enrlchment purposes for all puplls
of the schod. In strmng to achleve thls obioclive. It provldes opportunities to:.
Develop further relatlowships In the school communlty
Engage In activitles supporting tho school advancing pupil education
Provldè additlonal resources that previously could have been allocated from
the Educatlon Authority delegatod budgeL
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Unfortunately, during to Covld restrlctlons both in the community and as dlrected
by Department of Educatlon on Schoo15, PTA events were limlted during 2021-2022.
Efficlent communlcatlon was evldent as events and fund ralsers wore relayed
electronically vla parnnt newslettern. the PTA Facebook page and parentemalls and
texting servlce.
Staff. parents and puplls worked hard to pn)vide opportunities for the children to
enjoy activltles whllst also ralslng PTA funds.
Several social events were run for puplls during 2021-2022 and were supported by
both parents and staff.
In Terni 1 the school supported the FfA by organlslng for the chlldrnn to deslgn
their own Chrlstmas Cards whlch were then printed by a local company. A
Chrlstmas Raffle took place. Holywood Prlmary School famllles genorously
donatsd many It8ms that Were made up Into fifteen Luxury Hampors by somg of our
talented parents and school staff. A Christinas FI￿lde Quiz rn also arranged.

goodle bag & edlble 1efr￿hrnents for P5417 puplls.
P7 enjoyed the tradltlonal end of tsmi treat funded by the PTA They went to the
Strand Cinema followed by pizza for alll
Durfng Terni 2 a Coln Challenge fundraiser was oryanlsed. help from School
Council membern, HPS familles wern encouraged to bring in sparn colns and totals
ro counted wlth the wlnnlng class winning a prize.
Eastsr raffles were also organl8ed. Beautiful hampers were wt together and tho
lucky wlnners were dellghtsd with their wlnning gifL
An egg decoratlng competltlon was also arrang8d and an enjoyable Blngo & Board
Game Day were popuLir occasions.

In Tonn 3 to coknclde with the Qu•en's Jubllee celebratlons the PTA 8UPPOrtod the
scIMx)I In organlslng a Jubllee Fun Day. It was a great day of happin059 for
everyone and Included Bouncy Castles. an Infiatsble assault course. hoopk. hook
a ducK scavenger hunts. find the treasur4 taryet goff to name put a few.
The PTA P7 Loavers. Hoodles and P7 Year Book w•ro a hlghllght for the boys and
glrfs In Tomi 3.
A speclal thanks to a small group of P7 parents wlw oryanlsed wlth a local prlntlng
company for the Leavern. Hoodles to be delivered for each chlld. Other parents
painstsklngly compiled and produced an excellent P7 Year Book durlng Tenn 3 that
were pre3ented to the P7 puplls on thelr flnal day at HPS.

and help provlde addltlonal currfculum rogource8 to each Key Stage as necessary.
The Prlnclpal and Senlor Leadershlp Team confimi what resources and school
ovonts requlred fundlng. Durfng 2021.2022 there was Ilmlted expendlture. A fact-
flndlng process wa8 completed for the next phase of Inveskn•nt for ICT equlpment
uslng PTA Funds to upgrade the current Interactlve whlteboards whlch wlll graatly
enhance the offethe use of technology and acc•Bs to addftlonal dlgltal re8ource8
throughout th• school.
Each clas8 got tho opportunlty to be the wlnnern of tho Wlsh Ust Prlze throughout
the year. A slgnlflcant volume of vlewlngs on tho vfA Facebook pag8 and school
webslta when the wlnnlng cla88•5 were announced The chlldren had slgnlficant
