Old Loughry Heritage Group

Trustees Annual Report

1[st] February 2021 to 31[st] January 2022

The objects of the group are to keep alive old skills, crafts, and foster an appreciation of old farming methods. By farming eight acres of land, courtesy of LaFarge/Tarmac, using vintage tractors and machinery we hope to do just that.

The trustees are aware of their obligation regarding the Public Benefit requirement of the Charities Commission and as such the public will benefit from all our work by gaining an interest in and an insight into all aspects of local history within our district.

Old Loughry Heritage Group is involved in a wide range of activities that include and benefit the wider community. The group has forged strong links with local Primary Schools and Rock Historical and Rock Community Group in addition to the individuals who are attracted to the group. The aim of the group is to ensure all aspects of the community are included and welcomed into an environment of learning and appreciation of the past. Unfortunately, due to the impact of Covid-19 we have been unable to partake in events or demonstrations but we hope to recommence these as soon as the government guidance allows us to do so.

All our work is carried out voluntarily and with no financial gain to ourselves.

The financial position of the group for the year ended 31[st] January 2022 is as indicated in the annual accounts.

Prepared by Linda Potter ACA, Chartered Accountant

The trustees during the year are as given in the Annual Monitoring Return.

The above report was agreed by the Trustees on 31[st] October 2022
