Directors’ Report
The chairperson presents the report and accounts for the period ending 15[th] April 2023.
Principle activities:
The charity’s principal activity during the period was to conduct various projects and events like Durga Puja & Dussehra celebration, Rhythm Speak charity for Action Cancer, South Asian cultural festivals like Ugadi, Diwali, Boishakhi, etc., conducted Indian dance workshops and fundraising. These activities were conducted to fulfill the charity’s objective to foster understanding and the development of South Asian cultural practices through dance, music, arts, etc. to tackle loneliness, promote diversity, promote inclusion and equality, enhance skills & talents and celebrate festivals.
Financial Review:
The main income of the charity is through donations and the main expenditure is the purchase of small items, equipment hires and perishables like snacks, tea/coffee, flowers etc. during the running of the two flagship events, Durga Puja and Rhythm Speaks.
Accounting policies
The accounts have been prepared as receipts and payment accounts relevant to smaller charities.
