Structure, Governance and management
The charity is an incorporated body, and is registered as a charity for tax purposes with HM
Revenue and Customs. The charity is under the control of the trustees as detailed out in the
charity constitution. The tharity is registered as a charlty under the charity commission for

Norther Ireland as at the date of registration being 14 May 2015.
Organisation
The trustees who have served duringthe year are as detailed out on page 3.
Our alms and oblectlves
To promote and benefit the inhabitants of Hamiltonsbawn and its environs Ithe "area of
benefit) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race. ethnicity, or political.
religious or other opinion by associating with the statutory authoritles, voluntary and
community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to.. advance community
development and, in particular, the promotion of the community and voluntary sector for
the benefit of the public by providing support. information, services and facilities to
community and voluntary groups and encouraging such organisations to co-operate to
achieve their aims; provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and
other leisure time occupations with the object of Improvlng the conditions of life for said
inhabitants: promote culture and the art5; advance education and training; advance health;
promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony and equality and dSversity.
Publlc benefit
ByThe advancement of citizenship or community development, The advancement of the
arts, culture, heritage or science, The advancement of amateur sport. The trustees believe
that the activities carried out over the past year fulfil our aims and objectives. We also
provide a focal meeting place forthe communityof Hamiltonsbawn. It offers educational,
recreational, religious and cultural opportunities to a wide audience in the district.
Statement of publlc beneflt
The direct benefit from our purposes is reduced stress. decreased social isolatlon and
healthier and more informed cornmunity. This Is demonstrated by feedback and the

numbers attending our organisation. The beneficiaries are the inhabltants of
Hamlltonsbawn (General public. Men, Older people, Voluntary and communitysertor,
Volunteers, Women, Youth114-25 yearoldsl and the surrounding areas. There is no harm or
private benefit flowing from the purposes.
Dividends
In accordance with the memorandum of assoclation no portion of the companVs income
may be paid by way of dividend.
Flnanclal revlew and reserves
The principal source of inrorne are from grants, donations.

Statement of Trustees. Responsibilitie5
The Trustees who are also the directors are responslble for preparing the Trustees annual
report and the financial statements in accordance with the applicable law and UK
accountlng standards.
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the trustees to prepare financial
statements for each financial year. Under that law the trustees have prepared the financial
accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices in the United Kingdom
(accounting standards Issued by the Financial Reporting Council in the UK. Including
charities SORP IFRS 1021. Accounting and reporting by charities: Statement of
retommended practices applicable to charities preparing there accounts in accordance with
the financial reporting standards applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of
IrelandlFRS 102) and promulgated by the institute of charted accountants in the United
Kingdom and United Kingdom lawl. Underthat law the trustees must not approve there
financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a fair and true view of the state
of affairs of the charity and of the statement of financial artivates of the charlty for that
period.
In preparing these financial statement5, The trustees are required to:
Select a suitable accounting pollcies and then apply the consistently-
Observe the methods and princlpals in the charities SORP;
Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
State weather the application of accountin8 Standard5 have been followed, subjert
to any material departure or disclosed and explained the financial statements:
Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inapproprlate
to presume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records whSch disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial posltion of the charity and to enable them to
ensure that the financial statements comply with the CharitV5 Act (Northern Ireland) 2008
and the Charity l Accounts & Reports) Regulations INorthern Ireland) 2008. They are also
responsible for safe8uardlng the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps
for the prevention and detection of fraud and any other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the malntenance and integrity of the corporate and
financial information included on the charities website. Legislation in the United Kingdom
governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differfrom
legislation in other jurisdictions.

Accountants
A re501ution to re-appoint the accountant Ms Alison Agnew and Mrjonathan A8new as
accountant and independent examiner will be proposed at the next AGM.

Respective responsibilities ot trustees and examlner
The charity'5 trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charitvs trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year under 5ettion 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the
Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It Ss my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charitie5 Act,
to follow the procedures laid down In the general Directions given by the Charity Commlssion
lunder section 1451511bl of the Charities Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of independent examlnerfs statement
My examination was carried out in accordan￿ wlth general Dlrections given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparlson of ihe accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unvsual items or disclosures In the accounts. and seeking explanations
from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide
all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to
whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the report is Itmited to those matters
set out in the statement below.
