Activities

The purpose is stated under clause 3 of the Constitution of Short Strand Partnership. The Partnership is established to relieve poverty, unemployment, youth and the aged and promote the protection and preservation of health of and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Short Strand area and its environs of (East) Belfast (hereinafter called the area of benefit) by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to promote urban regeneration for the benefit of the public, advance education, and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
