ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCES
FAITH IN ACTION MISSIONS, NEWTOWNARDS 2022- 2023
Faith in Action Missions (F.l.A.M.) thank the Lord for all his ongoing provision. We thank,
and praise Him for providing the finances for this financial year. This money has been used
to great effect to support and help many people living in very arduous conditions, in
the Ukraine (FIAM) employee and volunteers continue to speak at many different church
meetings. Donald, Joe, and Colin provide verbal reports and show PowerPoint
presentstions highlighting the ongoing work in Eastem Europe. It is the financial support
provided from these church meetings and sponsors that allows FIAM to continue to
support a variety of drfferent projects for the relief of many deprived and disadvantaged
people
ANNUAL REPORT 202212023
Because of the war in Ukraine F.l.A.M. have been limited in their travel to
Ukraine throughout this year, and were unable to make any visits, however
we did travel to Poland to pass finances to our contacts to help the people.
War in Ukralne
Sadly in February 2022 war broke out in Ukraine, Flam were unable to go to
Ukraine but were still able to send fInan￿S through to the frontline churches
in Kharkiv, who in turn were able to feed people and help them through the
tsrrible time they were going through. People who had lost their homes and
were now hiding in subways, and also in basements. We ￿re also able to
help people in the surrounding villages, through those finan￿S. Many people
were helped with food and medicines, many were also given refuge in the
schools and churches that we supported.
FIAM were also able to purchase 2 aMbUlan￿S, 2 vans, and 3 cars and send
them to Ukraine to help rescue people from the areas that were being
bombed.
Northern Ireland
FIAM were able to rescue 41 people from Stari Saltiv in Ukraine, a village was
taken over by the Russian army and became very dangerous for the people

there. We were able to help 41 of them and bring them to safety in Northern
Ireland. All of the families now live in the Ballymoney area and they were also
helped by Hebron Free Presbyterian Church. All of the families have now
secured employment, and have their own homes.
Lrfe has been very difficult for the Ukrainian families, they arrived here
traumatized and depressed. They had seen their lives disintegrate before their
eyes, but through the ministry of FIAM we have been able to offer assistan
and to Sett￿ them down. All is now good with the people that we have rescued.
We were able to hold two camps for them, one 3 day camp in Sheep island
view on the Antrim coast, the other 3 day camp in Gannaway in Millisle. The
camps gave valuable support and a relaxing time for them all to come together
and talk with one another, and to comfort and support one another. The people
were deeply traumatized and the camp was a wonderful way of helping them
to have fellowship and bonding together as they settle down here in Northern
Ireland.
Starl Saltov vi Ilage
Faith in action missions were able to bring a number of people to safety from
the village of Stari Saltiv, the village is now under heavy shelling. The church
building that we built 14 years ago has now been destroyed by the shelling.
We also supported the ongoing humanitarian effort in that area financially to
help those most in need.
Drug & Alcohol rèhabilitation Centre
The Centre has been a very big help to many who have suffered with
addictions for many years, we have been able to support them through the
war financially as the rehab continues to work with people who have
addictions. Through the finances that we help them with they have been able
to keep their programs going within the Centre. We are also able to help the
people in nearby villages through our finances. A large 13kw generator was
also purchased for the Centre as there was no light or water. A car was also
purchased for the work of the Centre. We also supported the work of the
rehab financially, this enabled them to purchase provisions, and also bake
bread in their large ovens to help the people.

Llght of the Gospel church
FIAM were also able to send fInan￿S through to this church, the light of the
gospel church. The church is helping to feed many people In-between when
the bombing in Kharkiv has stopped. At such times they were able to go to
nearby villages and subways. Transport was abo purchased to support this
work by transporting food, medicines, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, and
many more items to the people who had lost their homes.
A 7 seater car was also sent to this church to assist them in rescuing people
from dangerous areas.
A new heating system was also installed to keep the people warm through
the harsh winter
One Pastor is being sponsored monthly from this church as he continues the
work of Faith in A¢tion Missions.

food and medicines to take home with them, they were also taught the Word
of God

A used car was also purchased for the Pastor of this chuich, this enables
him to have more control and give guidan￿ and care over the areas that

people in the badly bombed City of Kharkiv.

people who have lost their homes due to the war. In this process they feed
peopte living on the streets, basements, subways, and reach into villages to
help families
House of Hope
The house of hope continues to work well despite the war in Ukraine, presently
over 45 elderly residents are now being sheltered there from the war, the
residents who are living there were truly underprivileged people. Now they are

being loved and cared for through the house of hope. We were also able to
leave finances with the Pastor.to help look after the sick and elderly as well
additional finan￿8 given to purchase new items for the home. All of the
residents of the house of hope received a Christrnas gift, and the carers also
received a Christmas gift.
Sokolova Church & School
F.l.A.M. also took part in an outreach to the elderly and needy families from
the villages in Sokolova, which included all of the elderly receiving a gift of
various food items. We also helped many families with fInan￿S to buy
medicines as many were suffering from Covid 19. We were also able to help
people who were very sick, and had to be hospitalized.
Due to the war we were able to send finances to help the Sokolova church to
give many people refuge, and also to feed them. Through this ministry

that area.

the sad loss of the Architect who passed away.
Beginning of wisdom school
F.(.A.M. have been supporting this school for about ￿entY years, but this year
due to Covid 19 the school began to suffer financial hardship. Some of the
parents of pupils could no longer work because ofthe pandemic and therefore
were unable to pay their children's school fees. As a result this left the school
in deficit, and we were able to step in and help the school financially to reopen
and keep working. Sadly today because of the war the school has been
closed, many of the pupils and teachers have been scattered all over Ukraine,
and into other Countries.
Through the ministry of FIAM many people have been helped through the war,
others have been rescued from Ukraine and brought to Northern Ireland.
The ministry of God's Word has been their strength, many people have
repented, and now follow after Jesus Christ, many lives have been changed,
the war in Ukraine has made the people very God conscious.
