Statement of Trustees, Responsibilitics in Respect of the Financial Statements
Thc trustees (who are also directors of Autism NI (PAPA) for the purposes of company law) are
responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial stateinents in accordance with
applicablc law and United KingdoTn Accounting Standards (Gcncrally Accepted Accounting Practice)
Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year, which give a
true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitablc company and of the incoming resources and
applicatioll of resources, including ihc income and expenditure, of the charitable company for that period.
In prcparing these financial statemcnts, the trustees are required to..
I Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently.
2 Observe thc inethods and principles in the Charitics SORP (FRS 102) .
3 Makc judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
4 State whcther applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any
material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements;
5 Prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume
that the charitable company will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disclose Wlth reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charitable company and enable them to ensurc that the
financial stateincnls comply with the Companies Act 2006. Thcy are also responsible for safeguarding the
assets of the charitablc company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection
of fraud and other irregularities.
Disclosure of Information to Auditors
In so far as the trustees are aware:
There is no relevant audit infomiation of which the charitable company's aiiditor is unaware;
and
The trustecs have taken all steps that they ought to have taken to make then]selves aware of
any relevant audit infonnation and to establish that the auditor is aware of thal infonnation.
