## Activities

**Purposes:** The Company’s objects are specifically restricted to the advancement of education, the promotion of heritage and culture and the promotion for the benefit of the inhabitants (hereinafter called the “beneficiaries”) of the conservation, rehabilitation, restoration, improvement, maintenance and protection of the built environment of the City of Lisburn and its environs of Co. Antrim and Co. Down, Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) and in particular:  (a) To protect, restore, preserve, promote, improve and enhance for the public benefit buildings, features and other property of historical, national or architectural interest or beauty in the area of benefit or land that is worthy of conservation by reason of its historic or scientific importance or natural beauty and the encouragement of access and study of such buildings and property;  (b) to benefit the public by improving or beautifying the area of benefit;   (c) to advance education and encourage appreciation within the area of benefit on all matters relating to history and culture through exhibitions, workshops, lectures and other forms of educational medium.
