Volunteers' Week 2022

During 2022 Volunteer Centres NI delivered a collaborative and regional response to recognise and thank volunteers

In partnership with Derry City & Strabane District Council banners thanking Volunteers located throughout the district Hosted a volunteer recognition event in the guildhall. Presentation of thank you and EPIC certificates to Supported a number of volunteer recognition events attended by staff across the District 1000 Thank you certificates Drive 105 radio interview promoting volunteering and volunteers week Lunch on us - platters of sandwiches delivered for volunteers throughout the district

Children in Need Project Summer programme 2022

supporting 127 families in partnership with Foyle Parents & Friends & Ardnashee College

200 Summer scheme places made available

127 children & young people participanted on the summer programme. On average 40 participants per day

1500 hours of respite for parents & carers

74% of parents felt that their child experienced significant progress in health and wellbeing

55% of parents felt that their childexperienced significant progress in friendship & inclusion

57% of parents felt that their child experienced significant progress in confidence, self esteem and wellbeing

20 volunteers were recruited, trained and gained experience
