comrnunity maklng sense of the Issues which affect their Ilve3. séttlng goa15 for improvement and taklng action
through empow6rmgnt and partldpadve prowses.
We work in partnership with loGal peoplo and organls8ttons: In LxJnlLtncUon with a nurnb8r of voluntary, statutory and
communlty organlsallons. We work to collethely brlng about SOCi81 Change and improve the quallty of lrfe, Training
and edUCa￿On Is a bvJ need within the communty and w8 aim to provide assistsnce to local people to enable them
to apply for, and obtaln Suitable employment through a number <rf lrrining inilialivg5.
Our lo(sl job club operates every Monday and we provid$ training and advi¢* fur Ih08e deemed gwnomlcally activo
as well 85 providing help with gpplication farms and int6rvi8w techniques. Wa also provide trainlng and
apprentic8¥hips for young poople aged bètween 1&24. Wthin th8 communlty cenlTe. there are various groups
aimed gt providing care and support for the ch(Idren In th8 local area. Wa a180 0￿rat0 both a pr&￿h9O[ and after-
School club. computer drop4n ￿ntre for 1&25 year olds and a very a¢t￿le s&nlor ¢llzens group which includeg
weèmy lunch dub. A women's group provlde sarthe£s such as $o¢io1 training, aromatherapy. crafts. computei
trainlng. koop fit, 88senUal skjlls and well as a numbor of other Irainlro inibalive9.
