The financial statements are prepared in accordance witli the Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016. FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102). The Trustees Report contains the infomiation required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the Statement of Recommendation Practice (SORP) guidelines. The trustees of the charity are also charity trustees for the purpose of charity law and under the charity's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees. In this report the trustecs of Zero-8-Teen present summary of its purpose, gov¢rnan¢e, activities, achievements and finances for tlie financial year ended 31 March 2023. The charity is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a forn] which complies with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, The Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 and the Charities SORP (FRS 102). Achievements and Performance Since its conception, Zero-8-Teen has made a significant contribution to improving the lives of children an(1 young people. This is evidenced through projects and services that were established oli a small scale. However, with experience and learning, monitoring and evaluation processes, we have further developed many areas of our work. Financial Review The results for the financial year are set out on page l O and additional notes are provided showing income and expenditure in greater detail. Results and Dividends The charity has reported a surplus of income over expenditure for the year of £36,575 (2022: £75,303). At the end of the financial year the charity has assets of £305,028 (2022: £267,879) and liabilities of £13,548 (2022: £12,974). The net assets of the charity have increased by £36,575 to £291,480 (2022: £254,905).

The financial reporting framework that has been applied in their preparation is applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards, including FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with FRS 102. In our opinion, when reporting in accordance with fair presentation framework the financial statements: give a true and fair view of tlie state of the Cliarity's affairs as at 31 March 2023, and of its surplus for the financial year then ended. have becn properly prepared in accordance with Unit¢d Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice; and have been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. The registered olfice of the charity is Moylinn House, 21 Legahory Centre, Brownlow, Craigavon, Co Amiagh, BT65 5BE, Northern Ireland which is also the principal place of business of the charity. The financial statements have been presented in Pound Sterling (£) which is also the functional currency of the charity. SUMMARY The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered material in relation to the charity's financial statements. Basis of preparation The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis under the historical cost convention. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and the Charities SORP (FRS 102). Statemenl of compliance The financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 March 2023 have been prepared on the going concern basis and in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRSIO2" Incoming Resources Entitlement Èo legacies is considered established when the charity has been notified of a distribution to be made by the executors.
