**Purposes:** The Company's objects are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Greater Shantallow Area (which is in essence the Shantallow Electoral District of Derry City Council) without distinction of sex, race, or political, religious or other opinions by advancing education, relieving poverty, preserving health and providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
