## **Trustees Report for year ending 31 March 2024** 

Since its inception in 1988 the work of Immanuel Studios has seen many significant changes. The use of slides and cassettes seems very antiquated nowadays but these were the popular mode of communication in those days. These were replaced by videos which were greatly used until they were replaced by DVDs. 

As technologies have developed, the Studios have moved with the times in order to meet the demands and challenges of the modern age. The number of DVDs produced has decreased considerably from ten of thousands per year formerly to this past year. There is still a reduced demand for them, hence the Studios continue to produce them. The modern means of communication is via the Internet and consequently the web site set up by the Studios has been used more and more. 

There are now 136 Bible and Missionary lessons in 14 languages available for viewing on this site. The number of viewings are in the thousands. This is proving to be a very effective way of sharing good teaching from the Bible and from the lives of Christian statesmen and women. To quote one grateful recipient...."These are wonderful DVDs and have planted a sound message of the Gospel in the hearts of so many children." 

We are very thankful to those who help in the work by translating and recording lessons. Others are involved in the distribution and advertising of such materials here and in other countries. The latest series of lessons was produced in Serbian in this current year. Immanuel Studios has the satisfaction of knowing that the work is very worthwhile as it instills only what is good into the hearts and minds of all who listen to and watch the programmes. 

Through all the activities of the Charity, we have sought to fulfil the aims and purposes of the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement. The purpose of Immanuel Studios is to produce audio visual materials in English and other languages for the promotion of Christian education among children and adults and the distribution of same and shall be for charitable purposes only. The benefits which flow from this purpose are the provision of a valuable resource for teachers of religious education and an increased knowledge of the Bible, the Word of God among children and young people. This benefit can be demonstrated through the records of the distribution of the DVD’s to the many churches, missionary societies and individuals around the world and from the viewing figures on our YouTube channel. There is no harm flowing from this purpose and nobody gains a private benefit from it. The intended beneficiaries of this purpose are the children and young people who attend the various churches and missionary societies that the DVD’s are distributed to. We are assured that the Word of God presented through the DVDs is having an impact in the lives of children. As these children grasp and respond to the claims of Jesus Christ, their lives are changed and they have much to contribute to the wellbeing of their communities.
