A NNUAL REPORT OF THE WORK OF THE TRUST 1st April 2022 - 31st March 2023 Registered Charity Number: 100205
We look back over another year with praise and thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness in supplying the needs of the work and enabling John & Irene Barfoot, our Directors, in the many aspects of this ministry. Mr John Kinnier continues to be a great help in the work on a voluntary basis.
We always endeavour to keep the aims and purposes of the trust foremost in all we do and we are thankful for the many opportunities to distribute the Bible teaching DVDs. Reports from those who use and distribute them among children and teachers have been most encouraging.
Fewer DVDs have been requested over the past year due to the increased use of the Internet. Nevertheless, 6382 DVDs have been sent out. Further programmes have been produced, bringing the total to 98. Several other programmes in various languages are listed for production.
A number of programmes are available for viewing on our YouTube channel in order to make the DVDs more accessible to children. Missions, churches and other organisations can include a link on their website where children can access the programmes.
Through all the activities of the Charity, we have sought to fulfil the aims and purposes of the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement. The purpose of Immanuel Studios is to produce audio visual materials in English and other languages for the promotion of Christian education among children and adults and the distribution of same and shall be for charitable purposes only. The benefits which flow from this purpose are the provision of a valuable resource for teachers of religious education and an increased knowledge of the Bible, the Word of God among children and young people. This benefit can be demonstrated through the records of the distribution of the DVD’s to the many churches, missionary societies and individuals around the world and from the viewing figures on our YouTube channel. There is no harm flowing from this purpose and nobody gains a private benefit from it. The intended beneficiaries of this purpose are the children and young people who attend the various churches and missionary societies that the DVD’s are distributed to. We are assured that the Word of God presented through the DVDs is having an impact in the lives of children. As these children grasp and respond to the claims of Jesus Christ, their lives are changed and they have much to contribute to the wellbeing of their communities.
