## **January to December 2022** ## • 10,000 leaflets disseminated - 7,000 cards disseminated - 10,000 A5 Flyers disseminated 7 ## **Main issues discussed in counselling** - Service - PTSD - Self esteem - Anxiety - Mental ill-health - Self isolation - Family conflict - Victim anger - Family breakdown - Emotional abuse - Drug / Alcohol Abuse - Rape / Sexual Abuse - Physical Health - Violent abuse - Afghanistan withdrawal 8 ## **Barriers to seeking support** - Showing signs of weakness - Unaware of the support services available - Fear of losing contact with friends, family’s and communities - Recognising that they require support - Lack of trust – security issues 9 ## **Harbour House** A Veterans Centre has been a long term pipe project of Beyond the Battlefield’s. In September 2021 a building was found in Portavogie and a 20 Year Lease was signed for the centre. Harbour House will offer a safe space of respite for veterans and their families and also offer a space for veterans who find themselves homeless.
