## Activities

**Purposes:** The Association has been established for the relief and protection and promotion of people suffering from, or recovering from, M.E and Fibromyalgia (hereinafter called “the conditions”), and their families/carers, without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating with statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort for the advancement of education among sufferers, carers and the general public about the effects of the conditions in Newry and Mourne (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) and in particular:  a) to foster an atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement among people suffering from the conditions and their families/carers, and to encourage them to provide mutual support and encouragement to each other b) to raise awareness for the benefit of the public of the effects of the above named conditions, and methods of management of the conditions.
