**Purposes:** The purposes as stated under clause 2 in the Constitution of Diamond Senior Citizens Club are: The group is established to advance education, relieve poverty among the aged and to promote the preservation and protection of health among older people aged 60 or over to promote the benefit of such older people in this rural area of Maghery and surrounding district (hereinafter called ‘the area of benefit’) and in particular: a)	provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for older people; to add life to years and years to life. b)	Raise awareness among the general public of the needs and experiences of older people in the area of benefit.

**What the charity does:** The advancement of health or the saving of lives,The advancement of citizenship or community development,The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
