Carrickfergus Congregational Church Trustees Report for the year ended 31st December 2022
The year saw an element of a return to normality after the Coronavirus Pandemic .
After much delay we finally got the go ahead from Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the partial demolition of our unoccupied property and this was duly completed before the end of the financial year. We look forward in 2023 to the renovation of the remaining part of the property.
October was a busy month with the main Church Building suffering extensive damage as a result of a fire and we trust that next year work will begin to restore the building. Services are currently being held in the Church Hall.
The only other trustee business during the year was the sale of the Church minibus which had not been used since the pandemic as members had organised alternative transport arrangements.
We look forward to a busy 2023 with both the renovations of the unoccupied property and the reinstatement work on the Church Building.
