Friends and Parents of Faughanvale Primary School
Annual Report 22/23
This year was great for getting to host some amazing events in the school, and receiving some lovely feedback from the parents too.
September seen the start of our events with the Golf Tournament hosted at the local golf club bringing in over £1300! It was great to have such a big start to our year, with many families enjoying the activity.
In December we hosted our annual Christmas Craft Fair, and we did our first ever Santa Trail, which was a huge success and very well supported.
In the new year we held our Bingo up at St Annes Hall, which drew a huge crowd of both families from the school, and the wider community, and we would like to note the support of the church in letting us use their hall is greatly appreciated.
Other events include our Valentines Disco, Easter Raffle and the Friday ice lolly treats for sale in the playground. At our sports day we held the Spin-athon, and the competitive nature of both our pupils and parents was no surprise. They did use proud, putting in a huge 12hour shift on the two bikes, and raising £1900.
All in all, this was a brilliant year of fun and fundraising.
With the funds raised we managed to purchase 2 interactive white boards for our classrooms, bringing the technology right up to date, and as reports go the teachers and children alike are loving them.
Hopefully another great year lies ahead of us.
