I have examined the financial statements and related records (general ledger, purchase ledger
receipt books and bank statements) for the above perlod and am satlsfled that The Statement of
Receipts and Payments together with the Statement of Assets and Ltabilities fairly reflect the
attivities of Kindfund for the year ended 31 January 2024.
Matters arlsing from the financial statements:
l. Donations and 8ifts totalled £110,839 (£113,747). The largest slngle sterllng donatlon in the
financial year was £8,000 from the Ardbarron Trust {£7,000).
2. Euro receipts (included In donatlons and glfts at11) above) tota15ed cÉ17,600,1cÉ15,000).
3, At 31 January 2024 euro deposits totalled É19,653. In prior yeaTS It was the practlce to
convert euro depostts to sterllng prlor to the preparation of year end account5. In 2024 euro
deposits werÈ translated to sterllng (rather than converted) uslng an exchange rate of £1 to
1.1735.
4. Glft Ald (£9,552) continues to be a slgnlficant source of fundlng (£9,863).
Funds sent to Kenya totalled £IIO,0001£120,000).
6. The cash surplus for the year was £10,591 {£38,0661, resulting in total cash reserves at the
financial year end of £129,9341£119,343>. The cash surplus In 2023 Includes the exceptlonal
Bank redress received (£36,429).
