Foyle Civic Trust IFCTI operates in the areas comprlsing the Districl Counclls ol Derry, Llmavady and
Slrabane in Northern Irelancl and the Inishowen Peninsula in the Flepublic of Ireland, FCT aims to improve the
Physical gnvironment, increase recognition ol Ihe distinctive hlslory, culture and physical legacy ol the area
and improve and protect built and natural environment leading lo an increased sen58 01 pride lor Ihe local
community, creating more attractive plac88 tor louiisls and bringing heritage-led r8generation.
Chalr Report, Achlevemonts and plan• for the future
The chaSrrnan welcorn&a everyone lo the 35th AGM ol thè FOO0 Clvlc Trust and revSewed the aclivilies during
the year and plans lor the future. We have made progress during this year. including a successful application
being made lo the Heritage Lottery Fund lor the Build Heritage project, which lormally started in May 2023.
The Trust also continued ils work lo increase recognition ol the distinctive history, culture and physical 5egacy
ol the area and improve and protect the built and natural environment and held functions with key industry
speakers. The Foyla Civic Trust will conlinue this work in the fortttcoming years,

During the year Income of £23712023 £1471 was received and costs of £76312023 £1,046) were Incurred to
leave a nel deficit 01 £52612023 £8991. The reserves al the end ol the year w8re £2,051 12023 £2,577101
which all are unreslricled.

Reserves are needed lo bridge the gap between the spending and receiving of income and lo cover
unplanned emergency costs. Due to the nature ol Charity, no activities are started or costs incurred until
funds are secured from members. The Trustees consider that only nominal reserves are necessary to meet
future cosls.

We have examlned your charily accounts as requlred under section 65 of the Charilies Act and our
examination was carri&l out in accordance with the general Oirections given by the Charity Commission for

accountlng records kept by the charity and a comparSson ol the accounts presènted with those records. It also
