CCNI Report 2022

In the reporting period Clonard Residents Association have continued to work at a grassroots level in the local community, addressing residents’ concerns, liaising with statutory agencies, engaging with, and keeping residents informed, as well as working with other stakeholders. Interface and community relations was a large focus of the work. We have continued with environmental work around alleyways and vacant land. We have continued to liaise with and facilitate meetings with developers and local residents. We continue to input into the use of local amenities. We continue to facilitate a walking group that meets twice weekly. Neighbourhood Renewal is still a focus, and we continue to engage with the structures throughout the Greater Falls area and have concentrated on anti-poverty work. We have carried forward the campaign to have bilingual street signs erected across the area and continue with thematic work in partnership with other community-based initiatives focusing in on youth diversion, welfare advice, older residents, and women’s issues. The work carried out by the Association is completely voluntary.
