Trustees report
Year ended 31 December 2022
The trustees present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the company for the year ended 31
December 2022.
Objectives and Activitios
The partnership exists to benefit the inhabitants of Cullybackey and environs and advance community
development for the benefit of the public.
The partnership changed its name in 2016 from Cullybackey Improvement Association. The change of name
was agreed following the amalgamation of Cullybackey Improvement Association and Cullybackey
Development Association. The memorandum and articles of association of Cullybackey Community Partnership
have been updated. All outstanding assets and liabilities of Cullybackey Development Association were
transferred to the partnership in 2017.
We have concentrated on running our social enterprise and thereby providing opportunity for small business to
grow. We have some very community orientated tenants who provide a service through promoting healthy
activities, supporting vulnerable members of society, and caring for the wellbeing of those with psychological
problems. This focus on our tenants will provide income for the charity in years to come and help secure the
ability of the charity to improve the village of Cullybackey.
Besides the social enterprise, there has been significant focus on other objectives of the charity, This includes
the promotion of social inclusivity and enhancement of the natural environment. This includes the provision and
maintenance of flowerbeds, growing wildflowers, establishing a small orchard. major improvements to the
Riverside Path including a green gym, notice boards and developing a community garden. In relation to social
Inclusivity, we have engaged with the community in 2022 through the Queen's Jubilee event. a very successful
Christmas celebration event and have supported our membership of Bann Maine West through involvement in
their social enterprise project.
Achievement and Performance
In all activities undertaken throughout the year the trustees have had regard to the guidance provided on public
benefit and have concluded that the community has evidenced the benefit through verbal feedback, their support
at community events and their interest in the community newsletter and Facebook. They have also
demonstrated a pride in bringing about environment improvements. The switching on of the Christmas tree lights
In 2022 was the biggest Christmas celebration in recent years. All the Christmas Lights were repaired due to
the generosity of Cranswick. In summary the main achievements have been..
Continued management of a successful letting business for the benefit of the community.

Flnancial Review
The charity continues to rely on rental receipts as its main source of income although we continue to seek grant
funding from various SoUr￿S and receive sponsorship of our work. Occupancy rates has almost reached 100 % .
All monies in relation of fitting out the top floor have been paid and the roof problem has been successfully
resolved. Major breakdown of the lift proved to be quite expensNe. However, Trustees are confident that there
are sufficient funds to cover all expenses.
Plans for Future Periods
Ourfuture plans include a concentration on environmental improvementwith an emphasis on promoting tourism.
We also have plans to promote a healthy lifestyle through our walking group and other health related projects
including the phamiacy scheme.
We have completed a village plan setting out our vision for future progression. We already have a quarterly
newsletter keeping the community informed of what is going on and we have extended this to include regular
posting on Facebook.
The fitting out of the community space has generated a considerable increase in current income. Several groups
use it for their meetings, and we are just building up our educational and hobby classes. The top floor office
continues to be let out on an annual basis.
Participation in the village renewal scheme has led to the installation of an outdoor gym along the Riverside
path and the erection of inforrnation boards detailing the ftora and fauna in the area. This has and will continue
to facilitate working with Galgorm Manor (who own the riverside path) to bring about environmental
improvements.
Plans are in pla￿ to work w￿h Translink on developing the Community Orchard as an outdoor teaching space
for Buick Memorial School.
