ANNUAL REPORT 2025
Committee
The committee would like to extend thanks to all residents, agencies and volunteers
who have supported the Association in the past year
Inter- Agency Meetings
The Project Coordinator and DRIVE project of f icer continues to attend joint Inter
Agency meetings with local statutory agencies to look at issues of social, housing,
environmental and economic agencies.
Programmes
Sewing/Knitting craf t classes are on Monday s f rom I p.m. 3 p.m. and Wednesday s
luncheon club I p.m. 3 p.m. with a 3 course lunch being provided for around 23
including lunches delivered out to people. A small charge of £3 is asked for this and
is provin9 very successf ul. We have a game of bingo af ter lunch which everyone
enjoys. Tuesday s we have the social supermarket f rom 1- 3 p.m. We would like to
thank the volunteers who help us on a weekly basis.
Funding
We were successf US in receiving f undin9 f rom NIHE Good Relations unit to have a
garden party to show of f our newly re-f urbished garden. Through our DFC f unding
12 men went on a f ishing outing, the ladies group were provided with wool f or
knitting and we will be having our Christmas dinner and entertainment in Bethany
th
Community centre on the 10 December and youn9 people's on the 11 December
also at Bethany. We were also successf ul in securing f unding f rom DFC to
ref urbish our community garden and mural. Tina applied to CLEAR and was
successf ul which will allow us to have a gardening course, cooking on a budget f or
older people, cooking/tasting dif f erent f oods f or young people and Le90 based
therapy training. We continue to source f unding f rom many dif f erent areas.
Drive Project
The DRIVE project works with young people aged 5 - 13. The project worker
delivers a wide range of programmes including Environmental, Personal Saf ety,
Physical programme and Educational programmes.
We have f rom time to time received f unding f or other activities including CLEAR
f unding f rom Public Health Agency, we deliver activities which helps physical and
emotional wellbeing.
