Tandem and walking 22-23
April saw the Tandems r¢surning with access to Bowling club and Dart bw3¢s running back to
nomal. Unfortunately du¢ to council stiike with the park closing we were unable to have the
last night chippy. Non- the less it was good to be back.
April 27 start¢d with meeting in Gilford community hall then on for a walk at Tannaghmore
Gardens before finishing the day with lunch in café Incredible.
May 18 Was our amiual outing with a guided tour of Belfast. First stop was M&S on the
Boucher Rd. for tca break, from there the guide boarded the bus for a very interesting tour of
Belfast. To finish the day we had lunch in Boyles in Dromore which we all enjoyed.
June 22 Started in Gilford Hall for tea coffee then on for a nice walk along the Bann. Lunch
was in Ryans tea- rooms which was a little small for our needs, but overall a good day.

July27th This saw our annual AGM meeting which was held in Gilford Hall followed by a nice
walk along the Bann then of for a lovely lunch in the Banville.
22° Aug. We went to Newcastle for the day and we could not hav¢ had any better a day for
the weather. Every-one did their own thing, with either coffee ice-crcam or the shapping as
Dorecn would say, th¢n on it was on to Enniskeen House for lunch. Every-one seemed to have
a great day.
4 Sep. All of us off to Scotland. After a stop at Dobbi¢s Garden Centr¢ in AYT It was off to
thc Hilton by Hamilton which was just beside the horse racing course.
5 Sept. This morning it was off to GaTrion Bridges Garden and Antiques Centre for some
retail therapy ice cream and coffee.
In the afternoon we paid a visit to Chatclherault County Park and Gardens for a lovely tour of
the house and gardens.
6 Sept. Today it was off to the Bo'ness and Kinncil Railway for a ride on the steam train.
Then it was a short hop to South Quecnsferry for a river cruise under the three Forth bridges.
On board we were trcated to a crcarn tea of scones and strawbeny jam.
7 Scpt. This morning it was off to Leith for a tour of the Roya] Yacht Britannia and shopping
centrc. In the afternoon we paid a visit to Portobello B¢ach for some icc cream.
8 Sept. Today it was time to set off for home so after a stop in Ayr it was time to catch the
aftcrnoon boat for Belfast.
28 Sep. The day started in Gilford Hall for refreshments then on to Pointzpass for our
sponsored walk which was a great success. Ending with a lovely lunch in Rices in Pointzpass.
This was our f￿￿t tirne having lunch in Pointzpass. so I would say we will use it again in the
future.
26 Oct. Saw the day starting at Gilford Hall for refreshrnents, then on to Madden for a walk
along the tow path, and ending with lunch in the Banvill¢ Hotel.

Nov. Was our Christmas outing to Warrenpoint, wh¢re some went for a walk and others headed
straight to the Whistledown Hotel for Christmas dinner and a bit of music. It was a lovely day
to rin8 in Christmas.
18th Dec. Gilford hall was the first stop for the usual refreshments th¢n on to Rushmere, 01 for
the brav¢ few a walk around the Lakes as it was a very frosty day. Most hit the shopping centre
for a few Iasi mimrtc prez7i¢s or another ￿ffee. We finished the day with a lovely meal in the
Ashbum Hotel.
25th Jan. A quick stop of for teA L￿ffee in Gilford then on to Lurgan Park for a good walk and
ending in Lurgan golf club for dimier.
22nd Feb. Gilford Hall was the usual first stop foT refr￿hrn¢￿ts, followed by a walk along the
Bann River at Madden.The day fJnish¢d with lunch at the B8nnville Hotel for a lovely meal
before heading home.
March. Partytim¢ for St. Patricks day took us to the Belmont Hotel in Banbridge for a lovely
meal follow￿ by music and dancin&
22Dd March. As usual Gilford Hall for tea and biscuits the off to Banbridge for a nice walk and
followed by lunch in Banbridge L¢isure centre, b¢fore we all headed horne.
