Kathy Black completed her level 7 diploma in Community development which has given Unit T a boost with new funding from National Lottery Community Fund for a new Thrive Youth Project. We have continued with our annual community engagement events helping to signpost individuals to support services through the following events Picnic in the Park (the big lunch yearly get together) took place in June engaging families from across the district. Heat & Eat Event held in October 24 & 25 with over 300 participants in attendance with information tables. Beat the Blues held 3rd week of January each year with mental health and support services. These are successful events with over hundreds in attendance that engage and signpost residents to support groups and services. Thanks to Radius, Clanmil, Arbour and Ark Housing associations for their continued support on these events This year we are grateful for support from the Mourne Eye where we run the go karts and crazy golf we create a space for teenagers to learn new skills and earn money. Unit T have continued to entertain with creative classes over the year from Christmas crafts at Leitrim festival, Stendhal festival and smaller events across the district. Looking to the future we will continue to deliver in partnership with stakeholders’ events, projects and workshops that we have identified as a need in the community.
