The support of the wee charity shop has been vital to help wlth the running costs of the New¢a5tle
Community Fridge. th15 has contrlbuted to the cost of insurances, water Nl, power, ga5 and has help
us reach farnilles to help wlth the cost of Ilving by providing a bag full of fruit and vegetables with
ambient 8£￿$. We have (k)cumented over 35 Indivlduals on average have beneffted from thi5
service which helps not onty reduce waste but help save local families Money on essential foods.
The impact from foodcloud shows we have reduced waste with 746 collectlons to date, total weight
of food collected is 12935k8. total rneals equlvalent 30798, total co2 savings 36960kg.
We have continued wlth the annual communlty engagement events helping to signpost individuals
to support services through the following Bi8 Lunch events:
Picnic in the Park aimed at local families every June
Heat & Eat held in Ortober every year with local support services
Beat the Blues held In January every year with local support services.
These are successful events with 15 information stands and over 200 in attendance. This is also
the opportunity for new residents to get to know their neighbours in and infoTrnal setting and find
out what support there is in the area.
Thanks to the continued support from Radius, Ark, Arbour and Clanmil Housing associations for their
supporL
The partnership with the Mourne Eye and annual 80 karts and crazy 8olf gives us the largest amount
of incorne. This also gives local teenagers the opportunity to leam new skills. as part of this income
we donate an amount back to charrties chosen by Elmer Bell and Kathy Black
