The group have been meeting regularly at the Mencap office in Omagh to discuss opportunities and make plans.

The group have been working with their Community Engagement Lead from Mencap to have more autonomy of the group and develop more withing each of their roles.

Members revised their constitution and public benefit statement in 2026 as it was agreed that language used was outdated and not reflective of groups values.

Members now have full control over their social media pages and have been working hard to grow followers and share relevant news related to their cause. This has included group videos to promote important campaigns related to learning disability.

The group successfully applied for Mencap’s Your Time Fund in early 2025 and were awarded £500 to have a group activity. The group used the funding for a ‘Team
Building’ day where they travelled together to Brunswick Bowling in Derry. The group enjoyed a game of bowling followed by dinner.
- The group designed and ordered new Buzz Group t-shirts for each member.
