The object of the centre was and stlll is to wovide a commLFnity fadlty for the pe(•le of Thamg and distrtct. The
original 1#8$e expired in May 2011 and a new lease of 12 years dulalion came rnlo effact sn Decemb&r 2011. A
new le888 is in the process of being finalised.
Achi•vom•nts and porfom¥anc•
The Bams Centre is a focal point for the town providing facilities for people of all ages and across all sections of
Ihe cx)mmunty. The Goveming Body sees thelr responsibillJ&s 88 being lo encourage use of the ¢entre by tho
lo￿1 ￿MmUnIty whilst ensurfng that the f8dlilies at the centre are malntained to a high standard . In addition the
Governing 8[￿ty has a tsstX)nsi￿IIty to make th8 centre a commercrd success wrfti any surpluses accruing in a
year being reinveslod in the cenlre.
In this context the Goveming Body had beèn mindfvl of the Charity Comrn1s51on's guldance on publ￿ benefft and
ensured that the Thamo Bam8 Cents conb'nued to have facilit185 available for use by the whole o)mmunity for
meeting5, parties and other recre8tional activlttes with specafic proMsKJn m8d$ for focal groups whith Work %wth
thè disabléd. 8lderfy and dis8dvantag•J.
The day to day running of tho eentrè h8s been undertaken by Centre M8ri8ger- Mandy Mitchell - supported by
a team of part lime and casual staff. with the latter assisting in providing Lzlering and serving duties at thè many
functions held at the Barns Centr8. In addition to the fvnctions, there ar8 rggular and Occ8￿onal hiring of the
V8rkxJs rooms at the centre.
The trustee5 would like to place cm rec(￿￿ their 8pprec4ation of all the work undertaken by the Centre Manager
and Iheir support staff.
Financial r•vl•w
During 2025126. income from functions and room hire has in(xea8ed from £177,325 in 2024125 to £196.219 in
the curr8nt year, an incraaso of £18.894. Other inrA)m& in the year (for exampl8 frorn inter8St on investments)
totalw £12.4441£12.922 in 2024125 however this was mostty from Interest). The net s￿￿luS fry the curTrnt year
was £17,152 compared with net su￿lUS in the wevious year of £6,922.
During the year capital expenditure wa$ £19,323131st M8ro* 2025 £8,426).
As at 31st March 2026. the closing bank balance w8s £413.625131st March 2025 £407.0871.
The c*arity aims to hokl at fea812 months of tsxpenditure in reserves at any point in time. This is equal to around
£30.000.

original 1#8$e expired in May 2011 and a new lease of 12 years dulalion came rnlo effact sn Decemb&r 2011. A
new le888 is in the process of being finalised.
Achi•vom•nts and porfom¥anc•
The Bams Centre is a focal point for the town providing facilities for people of all ages and across all sections of
Ihe cx)mmunty. The Goveming Body sees thelr responsibillJ&s 88 being lo encourage use of the ¢entre by tho
lo￿1 ￿MmUnIty whilst ensurfng that the f8dlilies at the centre are malntained to a high standard . In addition the
Governing 8[￿ty has a tsstX)nsi￿IIty to make th8 centre a commercrd success wrfti any surpluses accruing in a
year being reinveslod in the cenlre.
In this context the Goveming Body had beèn mindfvl of the Charity Comrn1s51on's guldance on publ￿ benefft and
ensured that the Thamo Bam8 Cents conb'nued to have facilit185 available for use by the whole o)mmunity for
meeting5, parties and other recre8tional activlttes with specafic proMsKJn m8d$ for focal groups whith Work %wth
thè disabléd. 8lderfy and dis8dvantag•J.
The day to day running of tho eentrè h8s been undertaken by Centre M8ri8ger- Mandy Mitchell - supported by
a team of part lime and casual staff. with the latter assisting in providing Lzlering and serving duties at thè many
functions held at the Barns Centr8. In addition to the fvnctions, there ar8 rggular and Occ8￿onal hiring of the
V8rkxJs rooms at the centre.
The trustee5 would like to place cm rec(￿￿ their 8pprec4ation of all the work undertaken by the Centre Manager
and Iheir support staff.
Financial r•vl•w
During 2025126. income from functions and room hire has in(xea8ed from £177,325 in 2024125 to £196.219 in
the curr8nt year, an incraaso of £18.894. Other inrA)m& in the year (for exampl8 frorn inter8St on investments)
totalw £12.4441£12.922 in 2024125 however this was mostty from Interest). The net s￿￿luS fry the curTrnt year
was £17,152 compared with net su￿lUS in the wevious year of £6,922.
During the year capital expenditure wa$ £19,323131st M8ro* 2025 £8,426).
As at 31st March 2026. the closing bank balance w8s £413.625131st March 2025 £407.0871.
The c*arity aims to hokl at fea812 months of tsxpenditure in reserves at any point in time. This is equal to around
£30.000.
