General
Booking levels during 2025 remained broadly consist8nt with those achieved in 2024.
resulting in a modest increase in totsl income for the year.
Expenditure increased during the year as a result of investment in a new booking
management system. Sailia. which was introduced in the autumn, The system
includes a redesigned customer-facing website and is widely used by watersports
centres across the UK. The Trustees expect this investment to significantly enhance
the customer experience through a more modem online presence. streamlined
booking processes and improved accessibility.
In conjunction with the implementation of Sailia, the Trust engaged specialist support
to improve its online visibility and search engine performance. This work is intended
to ensure that Oxford Sail Training Trust appears prominently in relevant online
searches, thereby increasing awareness of the Trust and supporting future growth in
bookings and participation.
Operations
The Trust continued to ben&fit from a strong pool of casual instructors who
supplemented the work of the three full-time members of staff during periods of peak
demand.
The highly regarded Young Leaders Programme continued to be successful. attractlng
52 applicants during the year, of whom 38 were selected to participate. The
programme remains an important pathway for developing future instructors and
supporting the long-temi sustainability of the Trust's activities.
The Trust also deliVe￿d a Senior Instructor course during the year. Five instructors
from the Trust participated alongside Iwo extemal instructors. This reflected the Trust's
ongoing commitment to the training and professional development of its instructor
team, many of whom have progressed through the Young Leaders Programme.
The Trust's charitable outreach programme with state schools continued to expand
during 2025. For the first time, participation from state schools exceeded that of
independent schools, representing a significant milestone in broadening access to
watersports and outdoor learning opportunities.
New Events, Courses and Activltles
The Trust introduced several new events, courses and activities during the year.
The inaugural Oxford Sail Training Trust Regatta was held during the summer and
proved to be highly successful. The Trustees intend forthis eventto become an annual
fixture within the Trust's programme.
The year also saw the affiliation of Oxford Sailability to the Trust. As part of the Royal
Yachting Association's national Sailability programme, this initiative enables people
with disabilities to participate in sailing activities. The Trustees welcome this
development as an important step in furthering the Trust's commitment to inclusivity
and widening participation.
Additional courses and activities introduced during the year included:
Wing Foiling courses, supported by two full-time Senior Instructors who
qualified as Wing Foil Instructors.

Summer Multi-Activity Wing Foiling courses.
Aquanauts activities (A junior watersports activity week).
Family Paddling sessions.
Replacement of Equipment
The Trust is committed to providing participants with modern, safe and well-fflaintained
equipment across all courses and activities. Maintaining a high-quality fleet remains
one of the Trust's key strengths and contributes significantly to the participant
experience.
The Trust operates an ongoing equipment replacement programme under which older
equipment is sold and replaced in accordance with a planned schedule. During 2025.
the following equipment was replaced:
Nine stsnd-up paddleboards (SUPS).
Three wing foiling boards and twelve wings.
One rigid inflatable boat (RIB).
Public Benefit
The Trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public
benefit when planning and reviewing the Trust's activities.
The Trust's principal objective is to provide opportunities for people of all ages and
backgrounds to participate in sailing, paddlesports and related outdoor activities. while
developing confidence, leadership skills and an appreciation of the natural
environment. Throughout 2025, the Trust continued to deliver a broad programme of
training, recreational activities and educational opportunities designed to make
watersports accessible to as wide a range of participants as possible.
Particular emphasis was placed on supporting young people through the Young
Leaders Programme, expanding participation among state schools. and increasing
accessibility through the affiliation of Oxford Sailability. The Trustees believe these
activities provide significant public benefit by promoting physical and mental w811b8ing,
personal development. inclusion, teamwork and community engagement.
The growth in participation from state schools during the year represents an important
step towards broadening access to the Trust's activities and ensuring that
opportunities are available regardless of educational background or personal
circumstances.
Trustees
A number of Trustees retired from the Board during the year. The Trustees would like
to record their appreciation for the valuable contribution and service provided by those
retiring Trustees.
The Board is actively seeking to recruit new Trustees with a range of skills and
experien￿ to support the continued development and strategic direction of the Trust.

Financial Review
The Trust's financial statements for the year ended 31 D8cember 2025 have been
independently examinedlaudited and are presented with this report. The Trustees are
satisfied that the Trust remains financially stable and well placed to continue delivering
its charitable objectives. Going forward there will be a focus on reducing cost and
increasing income to ensure we generate a modest surplus, enabling us to further
invest and broaden the Trusts activities.
The financial ststements will be submitted to the Charity Commission following
approval by the members at the Annual General Meeting.

Independent Examinerfs Report to the Trustees of Oxford Sail Training Trust
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Trust for the
year ended 31 St December 2025, which comprise the statement of financial activities,
the balance sheet and notes 1 to 9.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the Charity's Trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {Yhe Act')-
I report in respect of my examination ofthe charity's accounts carried out under section
145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable
Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 145{5)(b) of the Act.
Independent Examiners Statement
I have complated my examination. I confimi that no rnaterial matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any
material respect:
accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section
130 of the Act., or
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the
form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and
fair view. which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a
proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1 Accounting policies
1.1 Basis of Preparatlon
The accounts have been prepared on an accruals basis and include income
and expenditure as they are earned or incurred, rather than as cash is received
or paid. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with
Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing theiraccounts in accordants with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland issued in
October 2019. the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United
Kingdom and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011.The
charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the
charitys ability to continue as a going concern.
1.2 Income
Income is recognised in the accounts when the charity is legally entitled to the
income after any performance conditions have been met, the amount can be
measured reliably and it is probable that the income will be received.
Income from donations and legacies consists of donations from exogenous
entities
Income from charitable activitias consists of funds raised through the provision
of sail training and boats for hire.
Income from investment consists of interest on savings.
1.3 Expenditure
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and is recognised where
there is a legal or constructive obligation to make payments to third parties. It
is probable that the settlement will be required and the amount ofthe obligation
can be measured reliably. Irrecoverable VAT is included with the relevant
expens&.
Costs of expenditure on charitable activities include those costs incurred in the
provision of sail training.
Governance costs include those costs associated with meeting the
constitutiona5 and statutory requirements of the Charity.

1.4 Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost net of depreciation.
Depreciation is calculated to write off the cost of tangible assets over their
expected useful life.
Boat equipment is depreciated at 20Yo on th8 Straight-line basis.
Storage container assets are depreciated at 10 /0 on the straight-line basis
1.5 Tradè debtors
Trade debtors are amounts due from customers for merchandise sold or
services performed in the ordinary course of business.
Trade deblors are recognised at the transaction price. A provision for the
impairment of debtors is established when there is objective evidence that the
charity will not be able to collect all amounts due according to the original terms
of receivables.
1.6 Trade credltors
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been
acquired in the ordinary course of operation from suppliers. Accounts payabl@
are classified as current liabilities if the charity does not have an unconditional
right at the end of the reporting period, to defer settlement of the creditor for at
least 12 months after the reporting date. If there is an unconditional right to
defer settlement for at least 12 months after the reporting date, they are
presented as non-current liabilities.
Trade creditors are recognised at the transaction price.
1.7 Funds
Unrestricted funds comprise those funds which the Trustees are free to use in
accordance with the charitable objective.
