The two main rooms were upgraded, and a disabled toilet installed. Other improvements were also carried out such the installation of a modern electrical central heating system, automatic door entry and some new chairs. There is still work to be done but more fund raising will need to take place before we can do this. Due to the extensive work, financial income and expenditure has increased beyond our usual amount, therefore we are above the £25,000 limit. The bulk of funds to do the work was provided by grant giving bodies, local authorities, local charities, local donations and our own fund-raising efforts and reserves. We have had the accounts audited and approved. As a result of the improvements, we have seen an increase in people attending our centre.
