The objectives for which the Cornpany is ftsunded are to aid and improve the ¢onditions of those
suffering from MuKiple Sclerosis in Oxfordshire gnd neighbourtng counties.

The Charty has one part-tlme p8id member of stsff (Centre Manager). All other personnel indudlng Trustees
are volunteers.

The MS Thèrapy Centre (Oxfordl Liinited is funded solety by voluntary contribulion$.fundiai$ing events 8rMI
occasionaty supplemented by grants.
The Centre is18rgely depeTidenl on donations and fvndraising and the Committee is conllnually
reviewng ways and taking various steps to maintaSn this source of income. The Committee wlll
continue to seek further gr￿h in incomts to expand the Cfyntre's adiv((i8s.
Reservts pollcy
The pollcy of the Charity is lo hold a minimum of £15,000 in 8 secure ac£ount and in ac¢ordance
with the resolution of the Managem8nt Committee, to use suth 8ccumu￿ted assets for tho

The trustees (who are also the directors Df the company for the purposes of company lawl are responsible
for the preparation of the accounts. The Iruslees oJnsider that an audit is not required for this year under
section 144121 of the Charibes A¢t 2011 (thè 2011 Act) and that an independenl examination is needed.
Having satisfied mysemthat the charity is not Sltbject to audit under company law and is ellgible for
independ8nt examination, it is my rèsponsibilty to..

My examination was carrièd out in actordance with the general Directions given by Ihg Charity
Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting ￿COrdS kept by tha cha￿ty and
comparison of the accounts presented from those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
itsms or disclosurès in the a(xx)unts. and seekin9 explanations from you as trustees con￿MIng any such
matters. The piocedures undetsken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
¢onsequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ￿￿Je and tsir vievl, and the report is
limrted to those matters set out in the statement b&low.

been prepared in accordance with Accounting Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended
Practic& applicable to charities preparing their 8c(x)unts in aco)rdance wtsth the Financial Reporting
standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 1021 issued on 16 July 2014 as read with
the Updato Bulletin enlilled'charities SORP FRS 102 Update Bulletin,, published by the Chartered
Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, London, in 2016, the Finan¢i81 Reporting Standard
applicable in the United Kingdorn and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021, the Charities Act 2011, the
Companiès Act 20￿* and UK Generalty Accepted Pra¢b"ee as rt applies from 1 January 2016.
The finan¢i8I statements are pfepared on a going ¢oncern basi$ under the historic cost convention

The tharty is exempt from corporation tax on its ¢harltsblg adtvities.
Funds structure policy
The ch8rty maintains a general unrestricted fund which represents funds which
are expendable at the discretion of the Trustees in furtherance of thè objects of the
Charity. Such frjnds may bè held in order to finanee both working and capital
investment.
Restricted funds are fund5 that can only be used for parbcular restricted purposes.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or whèn funds are raised for
particjjlar purpose.
