Annual Report 2022 1[st] Hedge End Guides 

In 2022 everything returned to normal after the disrupted years of 2020 and 2021 due to Covid. The unit has now returned to a full and active programme including a camp. 

We announced and started planning a unit trip to Switzerland in March 2022 which we had to cancel in May 2020 due to covid. We have a party of 32 children and 6 leaders going on the trip to Adelboden 28[th] July 2023 – 6[th] August 2023. We are spending a lot of effort fund raising so that no Guide is unable to participate due to financial restraints. 

We did raise our termly subscription in 2022 due mainly to a rent rise and general rising costs but are hoping to maintain it at the same amount throughout 2023. 

The unit has 31 members with plans to rise to a maximum of 36 and have a waiting list of a further 6 in 2023 and 10 in 2024, but due to the lack of leaders who are able to attend weekly meetings we are unable to rise our numbers further.
