ST JOHN'S ASSOCIATION
TRUSTEES' REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024
The Trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 30th September 2024.
Constitution
The Charity is constituted as an unincorporated association and is governed by it's constitution.
Objects of the charity
The principal object of the association is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. The committee aims to facilitate this by organising activities during the school year and depends upon continuing help of parents, Headmaster and school personnel on a volunteer basis.
Achievements and performance
The charity has achieved it objectives of making gifts to other registered charities
Financial Review
At the year end the charity held reserves of £26,340 (2022: £26,303). All reserves are held for future gifts to other charities. No reserves have been set aside for specific future expenditure
It is the policy of the charity to maintain unrestricted funds, which are the free reserves of the charity, at a level which equates to unrestricted expenditure. This also provides sufficient funds to cover the charity's management costs.
Risks Factor
The trustees actively review the risks which the charity faces on a regular basis and believe that maintaining reserves at current levels combined with annual reviews of key financial systems will provide sufficient resources in the event of adverse conditions
Declaration
The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees' report above.
Signed on behalf of the St John's Association trustees.
Mr. F. Coxhill Acting Chairperson

INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF ST JOHN'S ASSOCIATION FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024
We report on the accounts of the above for the year ended 30th September 2024, which are set out on page 3 to 5.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As the charity's Trustees, you are responsible for the accounts; you consider that the audit requirements of section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act), as amended by s.28 of the Charities Act 2006, does not apply. It is our responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43(7)(b) of the Act, as amended, whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
Our examinations were carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention:
-
(a) Which gives us reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that:
-
(i) proper accounting records are kept (in accordance with section 41 of the Act); and
-
(ii) accounts are prepared which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or
(b) to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts have been reached.
