I report to the trustee5 on my examin3tion of the accounts of West Norfolk Islamic A550ciation I'the charitv) for the year
ended 31 March 2025 which comprise the summary of receipts and payments and the statement of asset5 and liabilities.
Thi5 report is made 501ely to the charity's trustees, as a body, in accordance with section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. My
work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charitrfs trustees those rnatters l am required to state to them in this
report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law. I do not accept or assume responsibility ro anyone
other than the charity and the charity's trustees a5 3 body. for my work, for this report. or for the opinions I have formed.
Responslbllltles and basls of report
As the trustees ol the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the actounts in accordance with the requirements
of rhe Charities Act 20111'the ACYI.
I report in respect of my exarnination of the charitv's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out
my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the
Act.
An independent examination does not involve gathering all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
consequently does not cover all the matters that an auditor considers in giving their opinion on the accounts. The planning
and conduct of an audit goes beyond the limited a55uran¢e that an independent examination can provide. Consequently I
express no audit opinion on the accounts and my report is limited to those specific matters set out in the independent
examiner'5 statement.
Independent examiner's statement
I have compleied my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the
examination 8ivin8 me cause to believe that In any material respect..
accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 01 the Act.. or
r the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no tsther matters in connection with the examination to which attention should
be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Structure, governan¢e and management
West Norfolk Islamic Association is an Associarion, governed by its constitution which was adopted on
17 June 1990. The Board ol Trustees is selected and appointed by the administrative body of the Association,
who are involved with the Association's day to day runnins.
Objectivès and actlvltle5
The objectives of the Association are as fo11ows'.
i. The provision ol Muslims, needs in the local community.
2. The propagation ol a positive view about the truè Islam and the real traits of Muslims.
3. The support of integration and at the Same time the preservation of Muslim identity.
4. The advancement tsf re1iBion and education in accordance with the renets and doctrines of Islam.

Achievements and performance
Regular prayers are held 8t the Mosque. with Friday prayers being very well attended. The Mosque can
accommodate up to 80 people at any one time, with rhe Association now reaching out to between 150 and 200
people in the loc31 area. In addition to regular pr3yers. classes are held within the Mosque to aid members
in their learning and understanding of151am. Friday evening classes are held for adults on an ad hoc basis. and
Monday to Friday 5.'OOpm 6..30pm lexcept scho()I holidays) classes are held for children.
Financial Review
The principal source ol funding continues io be donations from members of the community. Many member5 have set
up regular standing orders to the Association. and collections are regularly held at Fiiday prayers to help
with the 8eneral running costs of maintaining the Centre.
A5 in previous years, the associarion continues to claim Gift Aid on donations received in the furtherance of the
charities aims and objectives.
The main cost in the year is the Imam's w3ge. Other key costs include building insurance, light and heat, water rates
and donations to help aid the Morrocco earthquake and Palestine. General running Costs of the charity appear quite
reasonable, with donations covering cosis.
The Association aims to maintain a minimum reserve of £S.000, as this would ensure that the minimal
operating costs, such as urilifies and insurance, lor the151amic Community Centre and Mosque could be mel.
The Trust Is currently holdin8 reserve5 of £131,891.
